Global asset manager deploys BISAM B-One for Performance and Attribution
Client
Global investment and advisory firm with more than $265 billion in Assets Under Management across 1500 portfolios including Insurance / Non-Insurance SMA’s, Hedge Funds, Mutual Funds, ETFs, and CLO’s.
Business Situation
The client had outgrown their previous Investment Performance and Portfolio Attribution system due to lack of features and volume of data. As a result, a business decision was made to migrate to BISAM B-One which offered additional features and increased scalability.
Grandview’s Role
Grandview provided project delivery resources to configure B-One and migrate and validate historical data to verify the accuracy of key calculations.
Results

Designed an ETL solution to process the ABOR data which allowed the client to terminate a previously outsourced vendor solution.
Created and implemented automated system workflows for loading and validating data that reduced month-end data processing time by 84%.
Overcame system limitations by developing SQL-based return calculations and validation reports to reconcile return calculations and security master reference data.
Migrated and validated 8 years of historical security and total returns for 1000 portfolios, 100+ indices, and 30+ custom benchmarks consisting of 30,000 unique held securities and 65,000 benchmark constituents.
